Scott Miller was announced as Head Coach for men's tennis beginning with the 2016 season. Miller also serves as Head Coach for men's soccer, a post that he has held since 2014.
The 2016 season saw the Gryphons finish 5-7 overall and one win away from their first-ever Skyline postseason berth. The season marked the team's most wins since 2013 and the team's most wins ever against NCAA Division III programs. Seven players were named to the Skyline Academic Honor Roll, and Matias Sanchez was named First Team All-Conference.
In 2017, the team matched its '16 win total and finished the regular-season 5-5. Sarah Lawrence earned its first-ever Skyline Championship tournament berth, the first for any men's program. Matias Sanchez repeated his selection to the Skyline All-Conference First Team.
Miller comes to Sarah Lawrence after a 10-year stint as men's soccer head coach at Alfred University. During his tenure, he led the Saxons to a pair of Empire 8 postseason berths and twice qualified for the ECAC Championship Tournament. Miller's Alfred team was ranked as high as No. 7 in the East Region by the NSCAA.
Miller also brings experience after serving as Alfred's Intramural Program Director since 2004. He also served coaching stints at George Mason University and Norwich University.
