Jae'onna Sutton

Jae’onna Sutton enters her first season as Assistant Coach for the women's basketball team at Sarah Lawrence College.
 
Prior to joining the coaching staff here at Sarah Lawrence, Sutton played five seasons of collegiate basketball. During her college career, she’s helped her team reach two semi-finals in addition to winning a Division 2 conference championship in the CACC.
 
 
Sutton attended Christ the King High School in Queens, New York. There she became a two-sport athlete playing basketball while also running track. She won the state championship 4 years in a row during her time there, in addition to finishing the season with an undefeated 30-0 record her senior year while being ranked the number 1 team in the country. At her high school graduation in 2018, Sutton earned the Wendy’s Heisman Athlete of The Year Award.
 
She received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Post University. During her freshman year, she was inducted into the University's Honors Society and by senior year she joined the National Society of Leadership and Success. In 2021, she was selected for the Business Women’s Forum Scholarship. In May of 2022, she was initiated into the Chi Alpha Sigma Zeta Chapter. Sutton is currently in her MBA program and will graduate in May 2024 with a Master's degree in Business Administration with a minor in Sports Management.
