NEW YORK—Sarah Lawrence College women's swimmers Colette Harley (Shelton, Conn./Shelton) and Jacqueline Quirk (Millburn, N.J./Millburn) have been selected as Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Women's Swimming Player of the Week and Rookie of the Week for the period ending Nov. 3, as announced by the league on Tuesday.

At the Mount Saint Vincent Sprint Carnival on Oct. 26, both Harley and Quirk picked up four wins in four relays. In the first race of the season, the rookie duo teamed with Gabby Risica (Narragansett, R.I./Narragansett) and Jay Pulitano (Mountain Lakes, N.J./Mountain Lakes) to set a new SLC 200 yard medley relay record (2:07.44). Harley and Quick also contributed to first-place squads in the 200 yard freestyle relay, 400 medley relay and 500 freestyle relay.

Harley added another four wins with two SLC-record swims at the SLC Sprint Carnival on Nov. 2. She was part of a foursome that matched the 200 medley relay record from the previous week. Harley also broke a 2001 SLC record in the 100 butterfly (1:06.04). The rookie swam to first-place in the 200 yard freestyle and rounded out the day with her eighth win in as many races as part of a victorious 200 yard free relay.

At the SLC Carnival, Quirk won three of four races, bringing her total to seven victories to start the year. After a runner-up swim in the 100 free, she triumphed in the 100 yard individual medley by a near six-second margin. Quirk won the 100 breaststroke with a five-second cushion and swam in the Green and White's winning 200 free relay.

Sarah Lawrence is back in action on Saturday, hosting SUNY Cobleskill and College of Mount Saint Vincent at 1 p.m. at Campbell Sports Center.
