Box Score BROOKLYN, N.Y.—Sarah Lawrence College men's soccer was defeated by St. Joseph's College Brooklyn, 3-0, at Aviator Sports Complex on Friday.

Sarah Lawrence (2-11) was held without a shot in the first half, though the Gryphons did force the offense enough to draw three corner kicks in the period.

Seven minutes into the second stanza, rookie Varun Kelkar (Nagpur, India/Jenks) served up a corner kick, and classmate Finn MacMillan (London, U.K./Bryanston) was able to put his shot on target, though SJC keeper Michael Miner stopped the effort at the last second.

Kelkar almost broke the shutout with a header in the 71st minute, and a minute later he fired a shot that caromed off the iron. Senior Juan Sucre (Caracas, Venezuela/ASFM (Monterrey, Mexico)) also had a shot on goal in the period.

St. Joseph's (6-5) scored a pair of goals in the first half and added its third in the second. The victory snaps SLC's three-game winning streak in the series since 2011.

SLC goalkeeper James Berry (New York, N.Y./Kent) had nine saves in the game, taking over as this season's saves leader.

Sarah Lawrence returns to action on Tuesday when the Gryphons host Purchase College on the Panthers' field.
