NEW YORK—
Sarah Lawrence College student-athletes Ishaan Pujari (Bangalore, India/Inventure Academy), Nikos Efstratudakis (London, Ontario/American Community School of Athens) and Elliott Warkus (Waimea, Hawai'i/Parker School) have been honored by the Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference for the period ending April 6, as announced by the league on Tuesday. For the second time this season, Pujari was named Men's Volleyball Player of the Week, while Efstratudakis was tabbed Men's Volleyball Rookie of the Week. In addition, Warkus was named the inaugural HVIAC Men's Tennis Player of the Week.

In the Gryphons' final two regular-season matches, Pujari totaled 42 kills (5.25 per set) and collected 27 digs (3.38 per set) earning a pair of double-doubles in league matches against Webb and St. Joseph's. The junior outside hitter also recorded a team-high five blocks on the week. With his efforts, Pujari surpassed 300 career kills and took over as the SLC leader in the category.

Efstratudakis recorded 52 assists (6.50 per set) in two matches last week. He also contributed seven digs and three blocks. The rookie Gryphon stepped into the setter role late in the season and has amassed a team-high 161 assists. SLC's hitting percentage has improved by 16 percent since Efstratudakis took over as setter on March 6.

Warkus captured the league's first tennis accolades after winning five of six matches in a 1-2 week for the Gryphons. Making on his second-ever appearance in the No. 1 singles position, he picked up a win against York, while he added HVIAC wins against Webb and Culinary in the No. 2 singles position. At No. 1 doubles, he went 2-1 on the week with wins over York and Webb.
