NEW YORK—On Thursday, the Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (HVIAC) announced the nine men named to the 2014 All-HVIAC Men's Volleyball Team. Among the recipients, Sarah Lawrence College senior
Brent Terry (Crownpoint, N.M./Idyllwild Arts Academy) was honored.
Terry has been an instrumental player for the Gryphons' program. He began his career as a member of the SLC club team in 2011 and saw the program through its varsity transition in '12. He is the team's only graduating senior to play each of the past three seasons.
Terry played the 2012 and '13 seasons as setter, racking up a program record 675 assists. He also contributed 269 digs over the past two seasons, an average of 1.7 per set. He set an SLC record with 30 digs against Webb on March 11. His offensive statistics also include 27 service aces and 23 kills.
Terry achieved five career double-doubles, including an 11-assist, 10-dig performance against Pratt in February. He has seen more court time than any other Gryphon, appearing in 48 matches and 158 sets in 2013 and '14.
