Box Score BRONX, N.Y.—Coming off the team's first win of the season, Sarah Lawrence College men's soccer was shutout by Lehman College, 6-0, in a non-conference game at South Field on Sunday.
In the opening half, Sarah Lawrence (1-6) was prevented from recording an official shot. The second half saw rookie
Varun Kelkar (Nagpur, India/Jenks) notch the Gryphons' first shot, missing the goal wide.
After sophomore
Roland Wynter (New York, N.Y./Lower Manhattan Arts Academy) served up a corner kick late in the game, senior
Ishaan Pujari (Bangalore, India/Inventure Academy) fired a strike that had to be saved by the LC keeper.
Lehman (2-7) scored a pair of goals in the first 10 minutes and added two more scores in the opening half to lead 4-0 at the break. Two more Lightning goals in the second half rounded out the scoring.
In goal for the Gryphons,
Nikos Efstratudakis (London, Ontario/American Community School of Athens) had 10 saves, reaching double-figures for the third-straight game.
Sarah Lawrence hosts Skyline Conference opponent Mount Saint Mary College on Wednesday at 8:30 p.m. at Tibbetts Brook Park.
