NEW YORK—For the third consecutive week, senior Sarah Lawrence College student-athlete
Cameron Martinez (Aledo, Texas/Aledo) was named Skyline Men's Swimmer of the Week, as announced by the league on Monday.
MEN'S SWIMMER OF THE WEEKCameron Martinez (Aledo, Texas/Aledo)Against Skyline rival Mount Saint Mary College, Martinez had a flawless performance, winning all of three of his events for the second meet in a row. The three-time Skyline Swimmer of the Week was victorious in the 200 yard freestyle (1:55.06), 200 butterfly (1:57.69) and 500 freestyle (5:08.34). Martinez broke his own 500 free team record by 5.63 seconds and his other two races were season-bests. The senior Gryphon has won his last eight individual races and was the top scorer in Saturday's dual. He has been named the league's Swimmer of the Week in all three award periods of the season.
Sarah Lawrence swimming returns to action on Friday when the Gryphons face Maritime College at St. Joseph's College Long Island. SLC returns host for its home finale on Saturday, hosting SUNY College at Old Westbury for the Green and White senior-day meet.
