Jacqueline Quirk (Millburn, N.J./Millburn) was named Women's Swimmer of the Week, while first year
Parker Hagmaier (Oakland, Calif./Bishop O'Dowd) was named Men's Basketball Rookie of the Week.
WOMEN'S SWIMMER OF THE WEEKJacqueline Quirk (Millburn, N.J./Millburn)Quirk was victorious in all six of her races during the team's 4-0 week in Skyline action, defeating Maritime, St. Joseph's Long Island, Old Westbury and St. Joseph's Brooklyn. On Friday, she won the 200 yard freestyle with a career-best swim of 2:12.11, adding a win in the 100 free (1:00.30) while contributing to the winning 200 medley relay squad (2:02.75). On Saturday, she won the 50 free (27.23) and 100 free (59.61) with two more personal records, and she swam the anchor leg of another winning 200 medley relay (2:04.06). Quirk is the team's third-highest scorer this season, totaling 148.5 points.
MEN'S BASKETBALL ROOKIE OF THE WEEKParker Hagmaier (Oakland, Calif./Bishop O'Dowd)In the team's first two games of the season, Hagmaier averaged 12.5 points, 8.5 rebounds and 3.0 steals in a 1-1 week for the Gryphons. He scored 10 points with eight rebounds and four steals in his career debut, a 92-38 victory over Pratt. On Sunday, he shot 7 for 14 (.500) from the floor, registering 15 points, nine rebounds and four assists in SLC's Skyline opener versus Sage. In the College's second year in the league, Hagmaier becomes SLC's first men's basketball player to capture a Skyline Rookie of the Week award.
