NEW YORK—Sarah Lawrence College student-athletes
Anthony Lee (Stevensville, Md./Kent Island) and
Cameron Martinez (Aledo, Texas/Aledo) were named to the Skyline Conference Honor Roll for their achievements in the past week, as announced by the league on Monday.
MEN'S SWIMMINGLee won both of his 100 yard freestyle events on the week and picked up four wins total. On Friday, the first-year Gryphon won the 100 free against Maritime with a time of 51.06, and he returned to the pool on Saturday to defeat Old Westbury, 52.37. Lee also won events against the Panthers, taking the 200 free in 1:54.70 while leading-off for the winning 200 medley relay (1:52.64).
Martinez, the three-time Skyline Swimmer of the Week, returned to his winning ways by picking up five victories in a 1-1 week for the Gryphons. After shattering his previous SLC 500 yard freestyle record last week, he lowered the mark further with a winning swim of 5:01.29 on Saturday. Martinez took first place in four individual events over the weekend. He won the 200 freestyle (1:49.40) and 100 butterfly (52.56) against Maritime on Friday before winning the 500 free and 100 butterfly (53.15) against Old Westbury.
