Box Score PURCHASE, N.Y.-A last-second tip-in made the difference when Sarah Lawrence College men's basketball was edged by Purchase College, 68-66, in a Skyline game at PC Gymnasium on Tuesday.

FLOW OF THE GAME
The teams exchanged the lead eight times, including six ties, in the first half of the game. Both teams got off to a hot start before cooling off during a streak of nearly five minutes without a made field goal. Sarah Lawrence took the largest lead of the half, 26-19, with about six minutes to play in the period. Purchase closed the gap, but the Gryphons went into the intermission on top, 35-33.
The Panthers hit the ground running in the second half. Midway through the period, the Panthers were ahead by the largest margin of the game, 54-45. With five minutes left, Purchase was still in control, 64-56, but the Gryphons scored the next seven points. Trailing 65-63 with a minute to go, SLC tied the game after sophomore
Malin Segal (Wenham, Mass./Concord Academy) made a layup with 10 ticks left on the clock. With the final possession of the game, PC's Taylor Foster missed on his jumper, but teammate Nicholas Jackson was under the basket and put the ball back as time expired.
DISTRIBUTING THE BALL
Eight Gryphons played at least five minutes in the game. All eight scored with three players scoring in double digits. Each of the eight had at least one rebound, and seven different Gryphons had at least one assist.

Parker Hagmaier (Oakland, Calif./Bishop O'Dowd) shot 5 for 10 from the floor and totaled 11 points with a team-best seven rebounds. Junior

FOR THE PANTHERS
Joel Neri had a double-double on 11 points with a game-high 16 rebounds. Foster and Creig Graves finished with 12 points apiece.
IN THE RECORD BOOK
The Gryphons eight turnovers are the team's fewest in a game since the statistic was tracked starting with the 2012-13 season.
NARROWEST DEFEAT
For Sarah Lawrence-currently in the College's second season in the league-the two-point margin of defeat is the Gryphons' narrowest loss to a conference opponent.
UP NEXT
Sarah Lawrence travels to California to face Cal Tech on Saturday and Occidental College on Sunday. The road trip marks the first time that any SLC team plays outside of the Eastern Time Zone. The Gryphons host their next home game on December 5.
