Box Score PASADENA, Calif.—Four Gryphons scored in double figures to lift Sarah Lawrence College men's basketball to a 73-64 win over the California Institute of Technology in a non-conference game at Braun Gymnasium on Saturday.

GAME FLOWAfter Sarah Lawrence scored the first basket of the game, Caltech took early control of the game, jumping out to an 11-3 advantage over the first seven minutes of play. The Beavers extended the lead to 10 points, 18-8, near the midpoint of the opening half. SLC responded with a 12-4 run over the next two minutes, closing the gap to two points, 22-20. Caltech scored the next seven points to go up, 29-20, but the Gryphons regained momentum and closed the gap to 32-30 at halftime.
Three minutes into the second half, a successful three-point try by captain
Graham Gilleran (San Francisco, Calif./Archbishop Riordan) gave the Gryphons their first lead of the period, 37-36. SLC retained the lead for the rest of the game but the Beavers kept the game within reach. In the last minute, the Green and White scored the final four points of the contest, sealing the nine-point victory.

FOR THE BEAVERSBrent Cahill led Caltech with 15 points, followed by Ricky Galliani with 14. KC Emezie racked up 11 points, and David LeBaron led his squad with 14 rebounds.
MAKING HISTORYThe Sarah Lawrence win was the program's first win over an NCAA team since defeating Bard, 65-63, in November 2001.
