Kelley Named Skyline Volleyball All-Conference

NEW YORK—Sarah Lawrence College student-athlete CJ Kelley (Las Vegas, Nev./Basic) has been named to the 2015 Skyline Women's Volleyball All-Conference Second Team, as announced by the league on Monday. In SLC's second year in the league, Kelley becomes the College's first volleyball student-athlete to receive all-conference recognition from the Skyline.

Kelley was the team's setter this season but rotated to have strong hitting and defense statistics as well. She led the team with 257 assists, 51 service aces, 186 digs and 16 blocks. All four totals rank among the top five all-time performances by a Gryphon in a single season. Kelley landed 83 kills, and her hitting percentage is the fourth-best season average in the SLC record book.

Kelley was named Skyline Rookie of the Week twice this season. She recorded 17 assists, five aces and two blocks to lead her team to victory over Medgar Evers College on Sept. 3. Later, she received Skyline recognition after recording the program's first-ever triple-double on 21 assists, 11 aces and 12 digs against Purchase College on Oct. 4.

Kelley becomes the fifth and final Gryphon to earn Skyline all-conference honors during the fall 2015 season. She is also SLC's second rookie to receive Skyline all-conference recognition, following women's swimmer Hannah Lawson in 2014-15.
