READINGTON, N.J.-Sarah Lawrence College kicked off 2015 with its first show of the semester, riding at the IHSA William Paterson Show at Briarwood Farms on Saturday. SLC sophomore
Camille Palladino (Lexington, Ky./Sayre School) won both of her classes to earn the show's high-point rider distinction, becoming the first Gryphon to achieve such an honor in more than three seasons.
Palladino's spectacular day included first-place rides in both her Novice on the Flat and Novice over Fences classes. Previously, the native of Lexington, Kentucky, had a season best of second place on the flat and third over fences.
Earning a pair of blue ribbons on the day, Palladino scored more points than any other rider, earning the show's high-point honors. No SLC student-athlete has achieved this distinction since 2012.
The Gryphons next compete at an IHSA All-Region Show next Saturday, March 7, at Briarwood Farms.
