BRONXVILLE, N.Y.—Sarah Lawrence College announced its 2014-2015 SLC All-Academic Team on Wednesday. Three student-athletes were recognized for excellence in athletics and in the classroom.
The SLC All-Academic Team consists of student-athletes who have participated on a varsity team, reached sophomore academic standing and have earned a 3.5 cumulative grade point average or better at the conclusion of the spring semester.
Faith Cody (Pocatello, Idaho/Highland) received recognition earlier this year when she was named the 2014-15 women's crew MVP; she competed in seven of the team's eight events this season.
Christina Tang (Foshan, China/Mercyhurst Preparatory School), the team's 2013-14 MVP, competed in three races in the fall before missing the spring season to study abroad.
Emalani Artiss (Santa Barbara, Calif./Santa Barbara) was also recognized, having competed in the 2014 MIRA Fall Championships.
Established in 2013, the SLC All-Academic Teams recognize student-athletes in sports that are not part of a conference in which All-Academic teams are recognized. In 2014-2015, the Skyline Conference named 84 SLC student-athlets to its Academic Honor Roll.
