KANSAS CITY, Mo.—Sarah Lawrence College men's soccer has been recognized by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) with the College Team Academic Award for the 2014-15 academic year. In addition, the Gryphons were recognized as having the eighth-best team grade point average among reporting member schools.
The NSCAA annually recognizes college and high school soccer programs that have excelled in the classroom in addition to their work on the field. A total of 859 soccer teams (305 men, 554 women) posted a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher, thereby earning the NSCAA College Team Academic Award.
Among the 305 men's teams recognized, Sarah Lawrence ranked eighth in overall team GPA. Of the five NCAA Division III programs among the top 10, SLC had the fourth-highest grade point average.
