Ege Ozcan (Istanbul, Turkey/Andrews Osborne Acad. (Ohio)) led the Gryphons with 15 points as Sarah Lawrence College men's basketball was defeated by The Sage Colleges, 82-52, in Skyline action at Kahl Gymnasium on Friday.

GAME FLOWOzcan scored the first points of the game, but the 2-0 lead would be SLC's only advantage of the game. Sage broke open a 5-5 tie with a 7-0 run. The Gryphons were within four points, 16-12, at the midpoint of the half, but Sage soon took a double-digit lead and finished the half on top, 41-25. The Gators iced the game by holding SLC to three points in the first eight minutes of the second period. SLC came alive with 24 points in the final 12 minutes of the game.
FOR THE GRYPHONSOzcan's 15 points were accompanied by five rebounds and a block. Rookie
Gabe Eng (Brooklyn, N.Y./The Beacon School) scored nine points with five rebounds, and classmate
Parker Hagmaier (Oakland, Calif./Bishop O'Dowd) led all players with 11 rebounds. Junior
Stevan Radosavljevic (Lazarevac, Serbia/Grammar School Lazarevac) scored eight points with six rebounds, and classmate
Mat Gerak (Monroe, Conn./Masuk) totaled seven points with two assists and two steals.
FOR THE GATORSFive Sage players scored in double-figures in the win. Marcus Patterson had eight rebounds and a game-high 16 points. Travis Gill scored 13, while Jorrdan McCray and Rob Mills scored 12 points apiece. Andre Robinson scored 10 points, including 4-for-4 shooting from the foul line.
