Box Score PATCHOGUE, N.Y.—Junior Alix Legrand (Damascus, Pa./Scranton Prep) scored in the 36th minute to level the game at halftime, but Sarah Lawrence College men's soccer was overcome by St. Joseph's College Long Island, 5-1, in a Skyline game at Danzi Stadium on Saturday.

KEY MOMENTS
Sophomore Kerem SmithStone (Addis Ababa, Ethiopia/East Side (N.Y.)) recorded the Gryphons' first shot of the day, and classmate Andrew DeNatale (Rochester, N.Y./The Harley School) also had a shot in the first 20 minutes of the game. Sarah Lawrence held the Golden Eagles without a score for nearly 28 minutes before St. Joseph's went on the scoreboard by capitalizing on a corner kick. Legrand's equalizer goal came less than 10 minutes later. Sophomore Colin Berg (Franklin, Mass./Mount Saint Charles Academy) fed a crossing shot to the junior midfielder, and Legrand slotted the ball into the lower right corner to tie the game, 1-1. Sarah Lawrence had two corner kicks in the half but neither was fruitful, and the teams were knotted at the break.

In the second half, the Golden Eagles added two quick goals in the first 10 minutes of the period, making it a 3-1 contest. Sophomore Mohamed Camara (Macenta, Guinea/New World) had the Gryphons' only shot of the half, and Sarah Lawrence was unable to mount any other offensive attack while SJC scored twice more. In goal, junior Mehran Hicks (Hartsdale, N.Y./The Masters School) finished with 15 saves, while Isar Wadhwa (New Delhi, India/The British School) logged the final four minutes in goal.
