Box Score YONKERS, N.Y.—The Gryphons tied the game twice but were eventually overcome as Sarah Lawrence College men's soccer was edged by The Cooper Union, 3-2, in a non-conference game at Tibbetts Brook Park on Sunday.

Andrew DeNatale (Rochester, N.Y./The Harley School) each recorded two shots before the midpoint of the opening half. Both squads had offensive opportunities neither was able to score in the opening 20 minutes. The first goal came in the 23rd minute, when Cooper Union's first strike was saved by keeper
Isar Wadhwa (New Delhi, India/The British School) who made his first start of the season. The rebound caromed back to CU, and the visitors went on top with a strike from just outside the penalty area. Sarah Lawrence leveled the contest 11 minutes later, when Camara drove the left side and benefited on his own rebound with an emphatic shot from close range; he leads the team with six goals this season.
Coming out of halftime with a 1-1 tie, Cooper Union had early momentum and capitalized on the team's third corner kick of the half to take a 2-1 advantage. Sarah Lawrence needed little more than two minutes to strike back. Junior
Alix Legrand (Damascus, Pa./Scranton Prep) lined up a direct kick a full 30 yards from the goal. His strike bent around the Cooper Union wall and found the bottom right corner of the net for his third goal of the season.
The decisive goal came in the 78th minute when Cooper Union drove the left side of the field and threaded a shot into the bottom right corner of goal. Sarah Lawrence had opportunities down the stretch but the Gryphons were unable to erase the deficit.

Camara led the game with nine shots, putting six on goal. Legrand finished with four shots, while defender
Colin Berg (Franklin, Mass./Mount Saint Charles Academy) had two strikes playing on the front line in the second half.
Varun Kelkar (Nagpur, India/Jenks) also recorded a shot in the game, while Wadhwa finished with five saves in his first collegiate complete game.
