BRONXVILLE, N.Y.—In the Gryphons' first tri-match of the season, Sarah Lawrence College men's volleyball played host to Skyline opponents Purchase College and Yeshiva University at Noyes Court at Campbell Sports Center on Sunday. Purchase was victorious in both of the Panthers' matches, while Yeshiva defeated SLC in the day's final match.

AGAINST PURCHASESarah Lawrence opened the day with a match against the Panthers. The Gryphons totaled nine kills in the match, including four by rookie
Callan Moor (Los Angeles, Calif./New Roads). Setter
Richard Warke (Vancouver, Canada/Rockridge Secondary) had eight assists, and junior
Isaac Gamboa (Bakersfield, Calif./Stockdale) led the SLC defense with five digs.
AGAINST YESHIVASLC returned to the court against Yeshiva and totaled 22 kills, including 10 in the third set. The third frame saw SLC take a 6-2 lead before YU stormed back with a 10-1 run. Moor racked up a season-high seven kills, tallying four in the third set. Gamboa had six kills in the match, and senior
Alex Carroll (Boston, Mass./Homeschooled) contributed five. Warke added 14 assists to his season total, notching six digs as well. Gamboa again led the defense, totaling eight digs.
ON THE DAYRookie
Gavin Spilker (Weston, Ohio/Otsego) totaled three kills and seven digs over the two matches. Moor was the only Gryphon with multiple service aces, and Warke posted two blocks. Rookie
Darcy Thompson (Highland Park, N.J./Highland Park) also had a kill and a service ace. Senior
Zach Hasl (Somers, N.Y./Soundview Preparatory) added a kill, an ace and a dig.
