Box Score BROOKLYN, N.Y.—In the Gryphons' final road match of the season, Sarah Lawrence College men's volleyball was swept by Medgar Evers College, 3-0, in a non-conference contest at MEC Cougars Cave on Friday.

Darcy Thompson (Highland Park, N.J./Highland Park) scored a kill on the first point of the match, and SLC took an early 2-0 lead in the first set. MEC pulled away by turning a 3-3 tie into a 7-3 advantage in favor of the Cougars. The Gryphons closed the gap at 9-7 before another 4-0 run by MEC proved decisive. Medgar Evers controlled the second set start-to-finish, opening up an 8-2 lead after 10 rallies.
There were nine ties in the third set, and SLC led four times, including an 11-10 edge. The Gryphons locked the match at 14-14, but Medgar Evers opened up a lead at 20-15 before clinching the match.
FOR THE GRYPHONSSarah Lawrence recorded 15 kills on the evening, the team's third-highest total this season. Rookie
Callan Moor (Los Angeles, Calif./New Roads) led the Gryphons with seven kills. Senior
Alex Carroll (Boston, Mass./Homeschooled) added three kills, and junior
Isaac Gamboa (Bakersfield, Calif./Stockdale) also had a trio of kills. Senior
Zach Hasl (Somers, N.Y./Soundview Preparatory) joined Thompson with one kill apiece.
Setter
Richard Warke (Vancouver, Canada/Rockridge Secondary) had 13 assists on the day and led the defense with five digs. Thompson had four digs, and Carroll followed with three. Rookie
Maxwell Savo (Cross River, N.Y./John Jay) had a pair of digs for the first time in his young career, and Moor and Gamboa each had a dig.
From the service line, Moor, Thompson and Hasl all notched an ace against the Cougars.
FOR MEDGAR EVERSJamal Chance led all players with 16 kills and three service aces. Setter Angel Seda posted 23 assists. Cecil Clark had seven digs, and Aker-Mar Bayley-Hay had four blocks in the match.
