Box Score YONKERS, N.Y.—Sarah Lawrence College men's soccer made a valiant second-half effort that eventually fell short when the Gryphons were edged by St. Joseph's College Brooklyn, 3-2, in a Skyline game at Tibbetts Brook Park on Saturday.

KEY MOMENTS
The Gryphons controlled momentum of the game for nearly 12 minutes, but the Bears scored twice to carry a 2-0 advantage into halftime. Seven minutes into the second half, junior Finn Macmillan (London, U.K./Bryanston) fed a through-pass up the middle to sophomore defender Colin Berg (Franklin, Mass./Mount Saint Charles Academy), who netted his second goal of the season to halve the deficit, 2-1. St. Joseph's scored in the 71st minute, but less than 90 seconds later, Macmillan fed Mohamed Camara (Macenta, Guinea/New World) for the sophomore's fourth goal of the season. After a tense final 10 minutes that included four cautions, time expired on the 3-2 St. Joseph's win.

GRYPHONS PERFORMANCES
In addition to his pair of assists, Macmillan had four shots in the game, all on-goal. Camara finished with three shots, while Berg had two. Junior Varun Kelkar (Nagpur, India/Jenks) and sophomore Andre DeNatale also recorded a shot. Junior keeper Mehran Hicks (Hartsdale, N.Y./The Masters School) recorded 14 saves while facing a flurry of 25 total shots by the Bears.

Sarah Lawrence begins a four-game Skyline road trip on Thursday with a visit to Maritime College (N.Y.). The Gryphons are back on their home turf on October 10, against Medgar Evers College.
