Box Score RIVERDALE, N.Y.—Despite scoring the first goal of the game, Sarah Lawrence College men's soccer was edged, 2-1, by Skyline Conference rival College of Mount Saint Vincent at the Athletic Field at Marillac on Saturday.

KEY MOMENTS
In the 14th minute, sophomore Niall Ridgley (Santa Fe, N.M./Santa Fe Preparatory) recorded the Gryphons' first shot of the game, one of his two shots in the game. Sophomore Mohamed Camara (Macenta, Guinea/New World) had his first shot of the game blocked in the 18th minute, but in the 26th minute, Camara capitalized on a defensive mistake. The Dolphins conceded the first goal of the game when they were unable to clear the ball from inside the 18 yard box, and Camara scored his team-high fifth goal of the season. CMSV scored the tying goal with less than 10 minutes to play in the first half, and the Dolphins scored the eventual game-winner on a free kick in the 53rd minute. Junior Finn Macmillan (London, U.K./Bryanston) and Camara both had shots in the second half, but the Gryphons were unable to erase the one-goal deficit. Rookie goalkeeper Mehran Hicks (Hartsdale, N.Y./The Masters School) finished the game with 13 saves to his credit.

Sarah Lawrence continues Skyline road play at Farmingdale State on Sunday, October 2. The Gryphons then travel to U.S. Merchant Marine Academy on Saturday, October 8. They return home to face Medgar Evers College in a non-conference game on Monday, October 10.
