BRONXVILLE, N.Y.—Sophomore
Gabriel Eng (Brooklyn, N.Y./The Beacon School) led the Gryphons with 15 points though the Gryphons were ultimately defeated as Sarah Lawrence College men's basketball fell to Farmingdale State College, 73-62, at Noyes Court at Campbell Sports Center on Saturday.

The Rams pulled away to take a six-point advantage and kept a four-point lead, 29-25, at the break.
Farmingdale State took its largest lead, 55-38, with five and a half minute to play. Over the next four minutes, the Gryphons rallied and went on a 22-10 run to cut the deficit to five, 65-60. Eng anchored the run with 13 points in the span, including three successful three-point attempts and 4-for-4 shooting at the foul line.
With less than a minute and half to play, the Gryphons' momentum was stonewalled by successful free-throw shooting by the Rams, who made six straight attempts from the stripe. Eng closed out the scoring for the Gryphons, while Farmingdale departed undefeated in Skyline play this season.

Ali Mableton led all players with 20 points off 10 field goals. George Riefenstahl totaled 19 points and 19 rebounds in the game.
