BRONXVILLE, N.Y.—In the final game of his four-year career, senior
Graham Gilleran (San Francisco, Calif./Archbishop Riordan) became the first Gryphon in team history to score 1,000 career points. The feat was made in the final game of the season for Sarah Lawrence College men's basketball in a Skyline contest against Mount Saint Mary College at Noyes Court at Campbell Sports Center on Saturday.
IN SHORT
Mount Saint Mary (12-12, 7-9 Skyline) def. Sarah Lawrence (8-17, 4-12 Skyline), 75-57.
HISTORIC MOMENT
Gilleran entered his final career game with 984 career points, 16 short of the 1,000 threshold. In the first three and a half minutes of the game, he shot 3-for-4 from three-point territory, scoring the majority of the points needed. Eight minutes into the game, he had scored his fifth field goal of the game, totaling 14 points. From there, the Knights' defense tightened around the co-captain, and it took over 20 tense minutes of game time for Gilleran to score the final two points. With 11:37 to play in his career, Gilleran was sent to the foul line for the first time of the game, and he calmly drained the shots to become the first player in team history to score his 1,000th career point. Less than a minute later, he drained another pair of free throws to finish with a season-high 18 points and a program best 1,002 total.
SENIOR DAY
Prior to the game, Gilleran was recognized alongside classmate
Jeff Jordan II (Smithfield, Va./Smithfield) and co-captain

Jordan was a two-season player for the Gryphons, finishing with the sixth-most career points in team history and having set a team record by shooting 54.8 percent (68-124) from the field this season. Gerak played four seasons in a Green and White jersey, amassing 665 points, third most in program history. He also is the team's record holder in career free throws made (191).
