BRONXVILLE, N.Y.—Sarah Lawrence College men's volleyball hosted a pair of non-conference opponents, facing College of Staten Island and New Jersey City University in a tri-match at Noyes Court at Campbell Sports Center on Saturday.

Against Staten Island, the Gryphons tallied five kills in the first set and took an early lead in the second set. Sophomore
Callan Moor (Los Angeles, Calif./New Roads) had three kills in the match, including two in the second frame. Senior
Isaac Gamboa (Bakersfield, Calif./Stockdale) served up a service ace, and SLC had a 5-3 lead over the Dolphins. Later in the set, rookie
Harris Silcott (Los Angeles, Calif./CHAMPS Charter) landed a kill to trigger a 3-0 run as the team cut a six-point deficit to one, 15-14. The Gryphons added two more kills in the third set, and setter
Ithai Diakov (Sofia, Bulgaria/B.I.S.) served up a pair of aces.
Facing the Gothic Knights, the Gryphons totaled 11 kills, including five in the first set. Moor totaled a trio of kills in the first set and finished the match with five. Sarah Lawrence held a one-point edge in the third set but were unable to hold off the strength of NJCU.
NOTABLE PERFORMANCES
Moor led the team with eight kills on the day, adding two digs on defense. Silcott contributed seven kills, eight digs and one block. Gamboa notched four kills, an ace, six digs and a block. Junior

Diakov totaled 19 assists while serving a pair of aces with eight digs and an assisted block. Rookie
