BRONXVILLE, N.Y.—Junior
Malin Segal (Wenham, Mass./Concord Academy) scored 20 points to lead Sarah Lawrence College men's basketball to an 80-77 victory over Maritime College at Noyes Court at Campbell Sports Center on Thursday. The win marks back-to-back Skyline victories, and their third overall.

Graham Gilleran (San Francisco, Calif./Archbishop Riordan) shut down the momentum with his second three-pointer of the game, and fellow senior
Jeff Jordan II (Smithfield, Va./Smithfield) added a layup to cut the deficit to 14-12. Segal drained his first trey, and a 6-0 run by SLC gave the Green and White their first lead, 23-20, with under eight minutes to play in the first half.
Segal scored back-to-back layups, and Gilleran converted another three-pointer to round out an 11-1 streak that handed the Gryphons a double-digit lead, 34-23. Sarah Lawrence carried a nine-point advantage into halftime, 40-31.

BJ Sanders (Silver Spring, Md./Georgetown Prep) had amassed 14 rebounds by the intermission.
The Gryphons maintained control for the first third of the second half, maintaining their largest lead 54-41 after six minutes. Maritime cut the lead to single digits before a 6-0 SLC run including free throws by Segal and sophomore
Austin Jones (Upper Marlboro, Md./Flint Hill School) along with another trey by Segal.
With five minutes to play, the Gryphons were still ahead by double figures, 75-64. The Privateers made a final stand and mounted a 13-2 rally that left the teams tied at 77-77 in the final minute.
The Gryphons struggled to find an open shot on their final possession, but with five ticks left on the shot clock, Gilleran launched the game-winning three pointer, and soon, time expired on the Gryphons' second-straight Skyline victory.

Segal's 20 points included five successful three-pointers, and he added a team-high five steals. Gilleran followed with 14 points, adding four successful shots from beyond the arc. Sanders and Jordan scored nine points each, while Sanders led the team with 15 rebounds, 11 on the defensive end of the floor.
Jones and senior
Mat Gerak (Monroe, Conn./Masuk) contributed six points apiece with Jones leading the team with five assists and Gerak contributing four.
