BJ Sanders (Silver Spring, Md./Georgetown Prep), Yeshiva came away with a 25-21 win. Sanders added four more kills in the second set.
Senior
Isaac Gamboa (Bakersfield, Calif./Stockdale) notched his third kill of the day for a 1-0 start to the third set. From there, the Maccabees pulled away to clinch the victory for the visitors.
TOP GRYPHONS
Sanders totaled a season-high 11 kills to lead the Gryphons, adding a block, a dig and a service ace. Gamboa had a dig and an ace to go with his three kills. Sophomore
Callan Moor (Los Angeles, Calif./New Roads) totaled two kills and two digs, while he shared a block with junior
Maxwell Savo (Cross River, N.Y./John Jay). For his part, Savo also contributed a kill, an ace and three digs.
Setter
Ithai Diakov (Sofia, Bulgaria/B.I.S.) amassed 15 assists and served up an ace with three digs. Rookie
Zack Roccaforte (Albuquerque, N.M./Albuquerque Academy) notched two digs in the match.

Sarah Lawrence returns to action on Thursday when the Gryphons travel to their first road match of the season, a 7 p.m. showdown at The City College of New York. SLC's next home match is March 21 against Ramapo College.
