Women’s Volleyball Falls at Rutgers-Newark

NEWARK, N.J. – The Sarah Lawrence women's volleyball team dropped a non-conference contest at Rutgers-Newark Thursday at the Golden Dome.

RECAP
Melanie Coleman paced the Gryphons with eight kills, while contributing six digs. Lucy Decarlo posted a season-high six kills, while Cat Ramey added three kills and a team-best three aces.

Isabel Pecora recorded a team-high 17 assists, while Lauren Kilroy finished with 16 digs.

The Scarlet Raiders raced out to a 17-7 lead in the opening game en route to taking a 1-0 series lead. In the second set, the Gryphons came out strong to hold a 10-4 advantage. Rutgers-Newark scored eight unanswered points to take the lead for good and take a 2-0 series edge. Sarah Lawrence kept the final set of the evening close, but the Scarlet Raiders scored the last three points of the game to complete the sweep.
