BROOKLYN, N.Y. – The Sarah Lawrence women's volleyball team won their third consecutive match on Saturday, knocking off Medgar Evers in straight sets at Medgar's Cougars Cave.

RECAP
Coming off a strong five-set victory over King's (N.Y.) on Friday, the Gryphons picked up where they left off, winning the opening set, 25-16. It was a back and forth battle in the second game, but Sarah Lawrence was able to prevail with a 27-25 decision to take a 2-0 series lead. The Gryphons won the third set convincingly, 25-13, to complete the squad's second sweep of the week.
After setting the school record for kills in a match,
Melanie Coleman registered a game-high 10 kills, along with two blocks and one ace.
Sarah Lawrence finished with 18 aces overall, including six each from
Isabel Pecora and
Cat Ramey.
Camryn Sanchez recorded four while Lucy Decarlo added another.
Helen Song finished with two kills, while Ramey and Decarlo notched three apiece. Pecora paced the Gryphons with 15 assists.
With the win, the Gryphons improve to 25-8 all-time against the Cougars, including a 9-2 mark in road meetings.
