BRONXVILLE, N.Y. – Sarah Lawrence sophomore
Enike Anyia reached 30 points for a second consecutive game, but it wasn't enough as Old Westbury defeated the Gryphons in overtime, 88-81, on Saturday at Campbell Sports Center.

Coming off a 32-point effort in a win over Farmingdale State, Anyia finished with 30 points on 8-of-14 shooting while making 14-of-20 free throw attempts, both program records. The sophomore also grabbed 15 rebounds and handed out two assists.
Omar Jamaleddine finished with 14 points and seven rebounds, while
Andrew Varoli added 14 points, including four 3-point field goals.
Gabriel Eng chipped in with eight points, seven rebounds, three assists and a steal, while
BJ Sanders and
Isaiah Pean scored six points apiece.
Austin Jones posted a team-best five assists in the loss.

It was a back and forth contest between the two squads, featuring 13 ties and 19 lead changes.
Sarah Lawrence, who entered the day winners of three straight games, led by as much as eight (37-29) in the opening half of play. The Panthers, picked third in the Skyline Preseason Poll, outscored the Gryphons 10-2 over the final 3:06 to tie the game 39-39 at the break.
Sarah Lawrence raced out to a 48-43 lead to begin the second stanza, the largest lead between the two squads in the half, but had its lead evaporate for a back and forth finish.
Old Westbury took a 69-66 lead with 1:50 left in regulation, but a 3-point play from Sanders with 1:34 to go knotted the contest. Anyia put the Gryphons in front, 70-69, with a free throw with 54 seconds on the clock.
The Panthers regained the lead with a triple, but a pair of free throws from Anyia tied the game at 72, forcing the team's second home overtime contest of the season.
Old Westbury took an early lead in the overtime period, but the Sarah Lawrence answered with five straight points to take a 77-74 lead with 3:58 to play. The Panthers countered with four straight points, but a charity toss from Anyia knotted the game at 78 with 2:49 remaining.
The Panthers pulled away, scoring six unanswered points to secure the win.
