Lauren Kilroy eclipsed the 1,000-dig plateau Saturday, as the Gryphons women's volleyball team split a non-conference tri-match at Bard's Stevenson Athletic Center. Sarah Lawrence dropped the opening match to the Raptors in straight sets, but rebounded with a 3-0 victory over Maritime.

TOP GRYPHON PERFORMANCES
Kilroy, the Gryphons' all-time leader in digs, becomes the first player in program history to reach 1,000. The senior captain finished with 29 digs on the day along with three kills and five aces.
Melanie Coleman produced 22 kills, four aces and seven total blocks for 31 points, while
Davis Mathis finished with 13 kills, three aces, two blocks and 13 digs.
Isabel Pecora accumulated 36 assists, 27 digs and four aces, while
Clarise Steiner tallied 21 digs.

Match 1: Sarah Lawrence 0, Bard 3
Bard, coming off a win over SUNY Delhi on Thursday, controlled the opening set, racing out to a 9-3 lead en route to winning the game, 25-12, for a 1-0 series lead.
Sarah Lawrence, coming off a conference win over St. Joseph's Brooklyn, settled into the match in the second set. The two teams traded points throughout for a 14-14 score. The Gryphons used a 4-1 spurt to take an 18-15 lead, but the Raptors countered with a 7-1 run to hold a 22-19 advantage. Sarah Lawrence did not go away, scoring four straight points to regain the lead (23-22). Bard ended the set with three consecutive scores to take a 2-0 series edge. Bard completed the sweep with a 25-21 victory in the final frame.
Kilroy paced the Gryphons with 17 digs and two aces in the loss, while Coleman registered 10 kills and Pecora handed out 18 assists.
Match 2: Sarah Lawrence 3, Maritime 0
The two teams traded points in the opening set, but a quick spurt by the Gryphons gave them a 15-10 lead. The Privateers used four unanswered points to get within one, but did not get any closer, as Sarah Lawrence held off the conference foe for a 25-19 victory and 1-0 series advantage.
Sarah Lawrence cruised in the second game, pulling away from Maritime with a 12-4 run to take the second set, 25-15.
Sarah Lawrence found itself trailing 11-3 in the final set. The Gryphons chipped away at the deficit, tying the match late at 22-all. Sarah Lawrence finished the game on a 3-1 spurt to secure the sweep.
Coleman finished with 12 kills and six total blocks. The junior's six total blocks are the most recorded by a Gryphon in a single match in team history, surpassing the previous best of four recorded in 2012.
Pecora finished with team-highs in assists (18) and digs (16), while Kilroy added 12 more digs to her career total.
