BRONXVILLE, N.Y. – The Sarah Lawrence women's volleyball team defeated Purchase in straight sets Monday at Campbell Sports Center.

RECAP
Sarah Lawrence, coming off a victory over Maritime on Saturday, cruised in the opening set, scoring the first 11 points of the game en route to a 25-11 victory and 1-0 series lead.
In the second set, the Gryphons raced out to an 8-1 lead, going on to take a 23-12 advantage. The Panthers chipped away at the deficit, scoring six unanswered points to shrink the margin to five (23-18). However, Sarah Lawrence answered with back-to-back scores to win the frame, 25-18.
Sarah Lawrence completed the sweep, jumping out to a 12-4 margin in the final frame to take the final set, 25-11.
Melanie Coleman scored a match-high 18 points, collecting 15 kills, two blocks and one ace.
Isabel Pecora handed out 22 assists, while
Lauren Kilroy, who recently eclipsed 1,000 career digs, added 15 more to her resume in the victory.
Clarise Steiner added five kills and 10 digs, while
Davis Mathis chipped in with four kills and eight digs.
Sarah Lawrence has now won its last six meetings with Purchase dating back to 2014.
