BRONXVILLE, N.Y. – Sarah Lawrence junior
Enike Anyia scored a game-high 32 points, leading the Gryphons men's basketball team to a school record for points Thursday in a 103-79 rout over Northern Vermont-Lyndon at Campbell Sports Center. It's the Gryphons' first-ever win over the Hornets and their first-ever victory against an opponent from the North Atlantic Conference.

Anyia was fantastic, hitting 12 of 15 field goal attempts while cashing in on seven of eight free throws. The junior also grabbed nine rebounds while handing out three assists and collecting a pair of steals. Thursday was Anyia's fourth career outing of 30 or more points.
Omar Jamaleddine finished with a season-high 19 points, seven rebounds, three steals, two assists and one block, while
Liam Barry added 12 points and a game-best six assists.
Chris Torres finished in double-figures for a second straight contest, scoring 12, knocking down four 3-point field goals.

The Gryphons' 103-point evening breaks the previous standard of 100 recorded in a victory over Pratt in 2016. Sarah Lawrence finished with 24 assists in the contest, a new team record, while recording 36 made field goals, the second most in a single game in program history.
Sarah Lawrence, coming off a win over Houghton at the 2019 Scranton Invitational, raced out to a double-digit lead (16-5) 4:36 into the contest. The Gryphons shot 51-percent from the field in the first half and 67-percent from beyond the arc, building a lead as large as 21 (41-20) in the frame, taking a 53-34 advantage into halftime.
Anyia and Torres led the way for the Gryphons offensively in the opening stanza, combining to score 32 points.
Northern Vermont chipped away at the margin in the second half, shrinking the deficit to 11 (63-52) with 15:05 remaining on the clock. Sarah Lawrence put a stop to the comeback attempt, using an 8-0 run to push the lead back to 19 (71-52). The Gryphons built their largest advantage of the evening in the final minutes (98-72), going on to secure their second straight non-conference win.
Sarah Lawrence outrebounded the Hornets, 54-36, including a 22-11 margin in offensive boards, cashing in on 24 second chance points.
Campbell Sports Center continues to treat the Gryphons well, as Sarah Lawrence improves to 2-0 at home this season and 9-4 overall over the last two campaigns.
