BRONXVILLE, N.Y. – The Sarah Lawrence men's basketball team suffered an 80-60 setback Saturday against Alfred University at Campbell Sports Center.

Omar Jamaleddine posted his third double-double of the season, pacing the Gryphons in points (18) and rebounds (12).
Keith Burns had his best outing of the season, scoring 12 points (3-4 FG, 6-7 FT).
Enike Anyia contributed nine points and nine rebounds, while
Liam Barry chipped in six points, two rebounds and a pair of steals.

Alfred, the reigning Empire 8 Conference champions, led from the opening tip, shooting 50-percent from the field in the first half. Sarah Lawrence struggled, shooting 18-percent while committing 14 turnovers, as the Saxons led 35-14 at halftime.
Sarah Lawrence, who entered the game unbeaten at home this season, continued to battle, outscoring Alfred 24-12 over 7:36 to shrink the deficit to single-digits (47-38) with 12:24 to play.
The Saxons pulled away, using a 12-3 spurt to open up a 59-41 lead with 8:29 remaining, maintaining the double-digit margin the rest of the way to secure the non-conference victory.
Overall, Alfred shot 52-percent, while Sarah Lawrence shot a season-low 29-percent.
