NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – The Sarah Lawrence softball team wrapped up its Spring Break trip Thursday with losses to Frostburg State and Kentucky Christian at North Myrtle Beach Sports Complex. The Gryphons finish the week with a 4-5 record.

TOP GRYPHON PERFORMERS
Eight Gryphons finished with a hit on the day, including
Tess Carrier and
Mackenzie Mindish, who recorded two hits apiece.
Mikayla Cunningham and
Zoe Kim each finished with one RBI, while
Alexa Zartman-Ball and
Rebecca Roberts each scored a run.

Frostburg State 6, Sarah Lawrence 2
Frostburg State scored two runs in the opening frame and three more in the third inning to open up a 5-0 lead.
Kim drove in a run in the fifth inning to get Sarah Lawrence on the board. The Bobcats got the run back in the bottom of the frame.
The Gryphons scored one last run in the final inning, thanks to a sacrifice fly from Cunningham.
Kentucky Christian 9, Sarah Lawrence 0
Sarah Lawrence did a great job stifling the Knights' offense through the first three innings of play.
Kentucky Christian, a NAIA program, broke the game open in the fourth inning with five runs and plated four more in the fifth to secure the victory.
