JAMAICA, N.Y. – The Sarah Lawrence College women's volleyball team improved to 6-1 on the season Tuesday following a road victory over York College inside York College Gymnasium.

Melanie Coleman finished with a match-high 17 points, posting 13 kills and four aces.
Gabrielle Hegedus accumulated five aces in the victory, while
Isabel Pecora dished out a match-best 19 assists.
Clarise Steiner recorded eight digs in the non-conference win.

Tuesday was victory No. 6 for Sarah Lawrence, matching last season's win total. It was also the Gryphons' fourth victory without conceding a set.
Coming off their first-ever victory over NJCU, the Gryphons won each set comfortably in their first road match of the year. Sarah Lawrence won the first two sets by a 25-14 score, and completed the sweep with a 25-12 victory in the final game.
The Gryphons outplayed the Cardinals in several areas, including points (40-17), kills (25-14), aces (15-3) and assists (23-14).
