BRONXVILLE, N.Y. – Gabriel Leifer hit the go-ahead 3-pointer with 6.5 seconds remaining in regulation to lift No. 24 Yeshiva to a 74-72 win over Sarah Lawrence Tuesday evening at Campbell Sports Center.

Enike Anyia led the Gryphons with 22 points, reaching the 20-point plateau for a fifth consecutive outing. The junior also recorded six rebounds, three assists and two steals.
Omar Jamaleddine posted his 10
th double-double of the year, finishing with 13 points and 13 rebounds. The sophomore also handed out four assists.
Chris Torres finished with 14 points and three helpers, while
BJ Sanders and
Liam Barry chipped in eight points apiece.

Leifer's field goal capped off a thrilling finish between the two squads, as SLC rallied back from a double-digit deficit in the final minutes against the nationally ranked program.
The Gryphons found themselves trailing by 10 (67-57) with 3:45 to play. SLC did not show any quit, using a 13-2 run, capped off by a 3-pointer from Anyia with 1:33 to play, to go in front, 70-69. Following a foul, the Maccabees hit a pair of free throws to go back on top, 71-70, with 45 seconds remaining.
Following a timeout, Jamaleddine hit a tough floater in the lane to give the Gryphons back the lead with 30 seconds to play. On the next possession, Ryan Turell found Leifer in the corner, as the forward knocked down the 3-pointer to give Yeshiva the 74-72 edge. SLC had a look in the final seconds, but were unable to convert, as the Maccabees escaped Campbell Sports Center with the victory.
Turell led all scorers with 34 points, while Leifer, the Skyline and MBWA Player of the Week, finished with 23 points and a game-high 14 rebounds.
After trailing by nine at intermission (33-24), SLC put up a valiant effort against the Skyline's top squad, outscoring the Maccabees in the second half, 48-41. The Gryphons shot 52-percent in the frame, including 55-percent from downtown.
