HOW IT HAPPENED
The game was tight early on. The Gryphons and Camels traded buckets for the first seven minutes, resulting in an 11-11 tie at the 13:05 mark. Still going back-and-forth through the first half, the Camels took a 27-26 lead with a little over a minute remaining. Jamaleddine knocked down a three-pointer with 52 seconds left before the break and the Gryphons went in halftime with a two-point advantage.
Conn. College evened the score with a quick bucket to begin the second half, but after that, it was all SLC. The Gryphons jumped out to a six-point margin with 14 minutes left in the game and never looked back.
Sarah Lawrence increased its advantage to double-digits at the 9:11 mark. A stellar defensive effort from the Gryphons eradicated any hopes of a comeback from the Camels. Down 13 with under a minute remaining, Conn. College resorted to fouling to stop the clock.
