HOW IT HAPPENED
SLC jumped out to an early 7-2 advantage thanks to six quick points from Camryn Davis. The Gryphons held the edge for the entire quarter, stretching their lead to 21-14 with a little under three minutes left in the first.

The margin grew to double-digits on a three-pointer from Ana Srdanovic at the 7:05 mark of the second quarter. The Maccabees brought it to within seven but four straight points from Wingerter allowed SLC to carry a nine point advantage into the half.

An 11-4 run spanning across five minutes in the third quarter helped SLC maintain a comfortable cushion. The Gryphons grew their lead to 14, the highest of the game, and went into the final quarter up 13.

The Maccabees clawed their way back, narrowing the deficit to five thanks to an 8-0 stretch. A timeout from Coach Alexander proved to be effective. The Gryphons scored on the first possession after the break. Still fighting, Yeshiva cut it to three with two-and-a-half minutes remaining in the game. Camryn Davis and Jordyn Medina hit back-to-back daggers, widening the gap to five. The Gryphons sank three of their last five free throws, cementing the victory.
