BROOKYLN – The Sarah Lawrence College women's volleyball team fought back from 2-1 to defeat the St. Joe's Brooklyn Bears on Wednesday night. The Gryphons won the match 3-2, earning a 17-15 victory in the final set.

Numbers

• Kaille Ferguson recorded 35 kills, etching her name in the SLC record books. She now ranks third for most digs in a match by a Gryphon.
• Georgi Massey had 12 kills, four assists, and nine digs.
• Isabel Pecora and Mia Rector each went for double-digit assists with 14 and 12, respectively.
• Jane Joncha posted a season-high 23 digs.
• Skyler Kawecki-Muonio served up six aces.
• Davis Mathis went for 16 digs and five kills.

The Gryphons dropped the first 25-17, then retaliated quickly in the second set, taking 25-13. Ferguson had four kills. A set three St. Joe's victory left the Gryphons with no choice but to mount a comeback. That is exactly what they did, winning sets four and five by a combined margin of nine points.
