NEW YORK - The Sarah Lawrence College swimming team combined for 13 wins in a dual meet with Baruch College on Saturday afternoon. The men's team suffered a 155-63 defeat and the women's team lost 103-98.
The women's 200 medley relay team of
Genevieve Chiappetta,
Frankie Iannuzzi,
Drew Lei-Alerta, and Audrey De Szendeffy kicked off the afternoon with a first place finish, turning in a time of 2:22.21.
Chiappetta won the 50 backstroke with a time of 36.30 seconds.
Iannuzzi won the 50 breaststroke event with a time of 39.38 seconds. On the men's side,
Mani Roshandel won the event with a time of 31.92 seconds.
Drew Lei Alerta was victorious in the 100 butterfly, recording a time of 1:13.75.
In the 50 free, Iannuzzi earned a third victory of the day, clocking in at 30.39 seconds.
Chaz Stafford won on the men's side with a time of 28.25 seconds.
Genevieve picked up a third win on the day in the 100 backstroke, posting a time of 1:16.89.
Frankie Iannuzzi won the 100 breaststroke, tallying a time of 1:26.86. Roshandel won the event with a time of 1:10.25.
De Szendeffy and Stafford swept the 400 free with times of 5:39.43 and 4:36.34, respectively.
Drew Lei Alert earned the last win of the day for the Gryphons in the 100 meter IM, recording a time of 1:16.62.
