BRONXVILLE, N.Y. –
Justin Bailey of the Sarah Lawrence College men's basketball team eclipsed the 20-point mark for the second straight game, recording a career-high 29 points on 61 percent shooting against St. Joseph's College of Long Island on Wednesday night. The Gryphons fell to the Golden Eagles 78-64.

- Bailey recorded his fourth consecutive double-double, adding a team-high 13 rebounds to go along with the 29 points.
- Liam Barry was solid, going for 14 points, eight rebounds, and six assists.
- Lucas Murray had eight points and nine boards.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The teams were evenly matched early on, resulting in three ties over the first five minutes of action.
Xiyuan Zhang knocked down a three-pointer on an assist from Bailey at the 11:28 mark to give the Gryphons their largest lead of the night at five. A 9-0 run from SJLI put the Golden Eagles ahead by three with just under nine minutes remaining. St. Joe's did not surrender the lead for the rest of the night.
Liam Barry converted on an and-one with 30 seconds left to keep the Gryphons within nine points at the half.
St. Joe's seemed to be running away with the lead in the second half, going up by as much as 21. A 17-2 run from the Gryphons beginning with a pull-up jumper from Bailey and ending with a three-pointer from
Ray McKenzie brought the Gryphons to within six with a little over three minutes remaining in regulation. The Golden Eagles then strung together eight unanswered points, sealing the victory.
