Justin Bailey notched his fifth straight double-double, going for 17 points and 17 rebounds (career-high) lifting the Sarah Lawrence College men's basketball team to an 86-65 victory over the St. Joseph's College of Brooklyn Bears on Saturday afternoon.
KEY POINTS
- Liam Barry led all scorers with 18. The senior guard added nine rebounds, four assists and a team-high four steals.
- Bailey had six helpers to go along with his 17 and 17 performance.
- Lucas Murray recorded 14 points on 55 percent shooting and had eight rebounds.
- Ray McKenzie tallied a career-high nine points of the bench, knocking down three shots from deep.
- Peter Fathi scored his first collegiate career points, putting up five points in nine minutes.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Trailing 7-3 early, Sarah Lawrence ripped off a 9-3 run to go ahead 12-10 with just over 13 minutes remaining. An eight minute, 22-13 run that saw six different Gryphons score created the first double-digit advantage of the night. The lead stretched to 18 before the half.

SLC never looked back, growing the lead to 25 three minutes into the second half thanks to a three-pointer from
Reuben Egan. The margin stayed above 20 for the next eight minutes. Up by 19 with exactly nine minutes on the clock,
Xiyuan Zhang sunk threes on consecutive possessions eseentially sealing the game and the win for the Gryphons.
