BRONXVILLE, N.Y. – 
Kendall Haymore secured a program record 20 rebounds for the Sarah Lawrence College women's basketball team as the Gryphons faced off against the Purchase College Panthers on Thursday night. SLC dropped the conference contest 53-48.
The first quarter was neck-and-neck, resulting in three lead changes. 
Jordyn Medina sank a jumper at the 6:51 mark, giving the Gryphons their first advantage of the night. 
Camryn Davis then hit a three-pointer, stretching the margin to four. Purchase responded with a 7-2 run, entering the second quarter with a 12-11 lead.
SLC opened the second quarter on a 9-2 run, taking a 20-14 edge with just under three minutes to play in the first half. A 9-4 spurt from the Panthers put purchase up by a point. Trailing by four with under five seconds on the game clock, 
Lexie Wingerter heaved a half-court shot, beating the buzzer and bringing the Gryphons to within one at the intermission.
The Panthers' lead stayed at single digits for the entirety of the third quarter. 
Kumi Tamura and Davis recorded back-to-back buckets, cutting the deficit to four near the midway point of the quarter. The margin stayed at four entering the final quarter.
Haymore and 
Jordyn Medina started the scoring in the fourth, knocking down consecutive baskets and evening the score at 37. A 12-3 run by Purchase spanning seven minutes created enough breathing room for the Panthers to pull away with the victory.
