Riley Johnson recorded her first career points for the Sarah Lawrence College women's basketball team, scoring eight as the Gryphons went up against St. Joseph's College of Long Island on Saturday afternoon. SLC fell 101-53.
SJLI ripped off a 16-6 run through the first quarter, heading into the second quarter with a 15-point edge. The advantage stretched to 25 near the midway point of the second quarter.
Jordyn Medina closed out the first half with two buckets, narrowing the deficit to 17 at the break.
The margin swelled to 30 one minute into the third quarter. The gap stayed above 20 points entering the fourth quarter.
Kumi Tamura went for seven points in the fourth quarter.
