BRONXVILLE, N.Y. –
Isabel Garren notched a career-high nine points for the Sarah Lawrence College women's basketball team as the Gryphons battled the Mount Saint Mary College Knights on Tuesday night. SLC fell to MSMC 90-43.
The Knights built an early double-digit advantage, going up 14-4 four minutes into the contest. Garren knocked down two free throws at 1:37 mark, bringing the score to within nine. Four unanswered points from MSMC gave the Knights a 13-point edge heading into the second quarter.
Sarah Lawrence was held to nine points in the second quarter, six of which came from a pair of
Kumi Tamura three-pointers. Mount Saint Mary strolled into halftime ahead by 31.
MSMC kept its foot on the gas in the second half, keeping a double-digit lead for the remainder of the contest.
Kumi Tamura finished with a team-high 15 points.
Kendall Haymore recorded a career-high in rebounds, pulling down 15. The Gryphons defense forced 13 turnovers.
