Ferguson tallies Game-High Digs for Gryphons

BRONXVILLE, N.Y. – Kaille Ferguson led the Sarah Lawrence College women's volleyball team with 14 digs as the Gryphons fell to Manhattanville College 3-0 (25-15, 25-10, 25-15) at the Campbell Sports Center.

SLC (12-14, 5-4 Skyline) dropped to a tie for sixth place in the Skyline Conference standings with Old Westbury. With just two conference matches remaining in the regular-season schedule, including this Saturday's contest with Old Westbury, the Gryphons will likely need to win out in order to make the postseason tournament as only six teams move on to the Skyline Conference tournament, which begins on Tuesday, Nov. 1.

Manhattanville improved to 19-6 overall and 9-1 in the Skyline Conference with tonight's victory to remain tied with the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy.

SLC could not get any rhythm going against the Valiants despite the efforts of Ferguson with her match-high dig total, as well as Skyler Kawecki-Munio chipping in eight digs herself.

Mia Rector led SLC in both kills (two) and assists (three) as the offense was held to a negative attack percentage.

The Gryphons did hold an advantage in blocks with four compared to Manhattanville's two.
