Camryn Davis recorded a double-double, tallying 15 points and 10 rebounds for the Sarah Lawrence College women's basketball team as the Gryphons faced off against the College of Mount Saint Vincent Dolphins on Tuesday night. SLC fell to CMSV 64-44.
The teams were close early in the first quarter.
Lexie Wingerter knocked down two free throws at the 5:05 mark, making it 8-6 in favor of the Dolphins. CMSV closed out the quarter on a 7-3 run, entering the second quarter with a 15-9 lead.
The Gryphons were held scoreless in the second quarter. CMSV dropped 17 points, heading into halftime up 32-9.
SLC's shooting improved in the second half, sinking six field goals, two of which came from deep. CMSV shot 69.2 percent from the field in the third quarter, winning it 22-14.
Trailing by 29 at the start of the fourth quarter, Sarah Lawrence ripped off an 11-4 run, starting with a
Camryn Hellinger layup and ending with a
Camryn Davis jumper. CMSV led by 26 near the midway point of the quarter and carried its lead to the final whistle.
