PURCHASE, N.Y. – Three members of the Sarah Lawrence College Gryphons women's basketball team finished in double-figures as the Gryphons went up against Manhattanville College on Monday night. SLC fell to the Valiants 73-50.
NUMBERS
- Camryn Davis led the Gryphons in scoring with 12 points. The senior guard posted another double-double, adding a team-high 10 rebounds.
- Kimiko Katzaroff had 10 points, three assists, and two blocks.
- Kendall Haymore tallied 10 points and eight rebounds.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Manhattanville opened the game on an 11-2 run, spanning the first eight minutes of regulation. Four straight points from Katzaroff narrowed the deficit to 11-6 heading into the second quarter.
The lead stretched to 12 at the 6:51 mark of the second half. Sarah Lawrence ended the half on a 14-8 run, heading into the locker room trailing 28-22.
The Gryphons kept the margin within single digits for the first three minutes of the second half. The Valiants put together a quarter-ending 18-6 run, walking into the fourth quarter with a 19-point advantage.
The lead stayed above double-digits for the entire fourth quarter. Six different Gryphons found the scoresheet in the final quarter.
